Liftmaster Garage Door Clicking Noise

My 1 3 horse liftmaster garage door stopped working it only clicks when i use the remote or the wall opener.

The door track rollers move each time you open or close the door leading to a lot of movement and causing wear. The sound of the automatic garage door lock engaging lets you know you are protected with an added layer of security. On some systems the garage door opener installed on the wall will override commands from the remote control opener and the system must be unlocked from the wall pad. If you hear a garage door grinding noise it could be the rollers.

Start with a visual inspection of the sections panels looking for any signs of dents bending creases or cracks in each panel. If your garage door is making lots of noise during use you need to perform a visual inspection of all of the components in your garage door system. Another irritating noise you might be hearing when opening and closing the door is a clinking sound. There are a couple of reasons why your door would be making this sound.

This wear could damage the roller surface causing them not to roll correctly. The motor doesn t hum like it is trying to open just a clicking sound comes from the unit and the light comes on. The spring coils have rusted and are rubbing together. This is an easy fix.

Other symptoms may also include flashing lights on the remote control opener.
