While previously the law dictated that auxiliary driving lights must be fitted in pairs nsw residents now can run with just one led light bar if so desired.
Placing additional forward facing driving lights which do not protrude upwards or outwards from your bullbar 1 is legal but something which protrudes from the top of the bullbar 2 is not legal nor are lights positioned on the roof or roof rack 3 or on a sports bar if you re driving a ute 4.

It is a legal requirement that once conditions improve and you can see more clearly the front and rear fog lights are switched off.
If an led light bar has different parts or sections that can be switched on or off independent of other parts or sections then each independently controlled section counts as a driving light.

I contacted the nsw roads and maritime services and they reckon that nominally after market led light bars should comply with adr13.
Now i ve had a look online at various sites etc it seems roof lights spotties are completely legal in most states with the exception of act where it s only permitted to have a led bar in between the headlights.
