Liquid ceramic slurry.

For the production of ceramic shells for the investment casting process a slurry is created from combining a liquid binder refractory flours and sands. The pie is removed from the ceramic disks by a scraper. In the filter the filtrate is sucked through the ceramic disks when they are immersed in the pulp and the pie is formed on the surface of the disks. It is important to optimize the slurry composition in order to obtain high green density low green shrinkage and sufficient green strength to produce defect free demolding.

As the discs rotate the capillary continues to act uninterruptedly across the disc surface until the free liquid is removed from the solids. Remet supplies all the casting materials to create high quality ceramic shells able to be customized to meet a wide range of casting applications for the full spectrum of metal alloys. The slurry is about 20 powder in liquid and in the old as well as the new setup the vessel is stirred to keep the slurry homogenous. The soft alumina particles are a mixture of delta d and theta t phase particles manufactured under tightly controlled environments to ensure product.

Ceramic slurry is obtained by mixing ceramic powder carrying vehicle binder and dispersant to produce uniformly dispersed ceramic slurry.
